Tournament Director Team Challenge

The Greater Joliet Tour Series Tournament Director Team Challenge sponsored by Werk Force Brewing.

The Team Captains: Sean Callahan, Ryan Fancher, Thor Batchelor and Mike Apostolou.

The foundation of the “GJTS TDTC” was built from an event that has been in our hearts for years, the Sandy Point Team Invitational. It is a team event where you compete against other teams in a match-play format. Unlike other events, this is one where everyone truly wins because the team that wins gets their course project funded, as chosen by their team captain. 5 Points will be awarded to every member on the winning team.

2021 was the first year the event was held. The draft held at Nick & Ivy Brewing was hotter than the NFL draft. Come game day, the competition was so fierce. It was up against teams Borowski and Callahan for the final round, but ultimately Borowski’s team blue won.

Only, everyone won and his course project is going to go towards two semi-truck loads of mulch to make Highland great just in time for the Illinois State Championships! Photographs below are by Lauren Lakeberg, The Disc Golf Photographer.
