Ryan started playing disc golf when he turned 15 and got his driver’s permit, once he got his license him and his friends started going to further courses. The first courses he ever played were Fox Hill in Yorkville, IL, and Jericho Lake in Aurora, IL. His favorite home course is Eagle Ridge in Oswego, IL, and his favorite hole out there is hole 9 (he despises having witnessed Gavin Rathbun being the first person to ACE it as a newly elevated basket with a TL3).

He has a few items on his bucket list, to be 990-1000 rated with the PDGA and to play oversees in Europe. His favorite group of disc golfers to play with is the Goon Platoon which consists of: Dan Fairhurst, John Palister, Tom Earhart and Dan Schlitter. They like to play the J-Town area typically and they also travel to the Camden courses, Grey Fox and Silver Fox.
