JJ is our very first team member. He was granted his membership during the grand opening of The Canyons course on September 20, 2014, having been a full-time Dellwood Park resident. JJ received his first name from Mikey Kaczmarski (PDGA #82394), and because of Paul Martin (PDGA #70859), Ryan Nyc (PDGA #71822) and Matt Schuster (PDGA #87310) it stuck like glue.

• PDGA member since June 11, 2021

• He was born on September 20, 2014

• His favorite snacks are grass, worms and bugs.

• He is a tree climber so keep your eyes peeled for him.

• He has multiple residences all throughout the property. These are his Summer and Winter homes.

• He has a modest temperament. At times he is known to scurry across the fairway, but he often stays put.

• He is a celebrity*

We ask that you please do not touch or feed him. With Dellwood having been his home for years he has everything he needs to survive.

He even made a debut in the Hole 18 diorama by renowned artist Chris Brenholtz (pictures by Lauren Lakeberg, The Disc Golf Photographer below).

He has a very large fanbase, they are known as the “Dellwood Groundhogs” and often show their support by wearing his signature T-Shirts and posting JJ sightings on social media by tagging @dellwood_disc_golf.
